Breaking News: Two Former Tybee Police Officers Indicted for Making False Statements

Breaking News, Wednesday, August 25th, 2010:

Tybee Island, GA – The office of Eastern Judicial Circuit/Chatham County District Attorney Larry Chisolm has now confirmed that the Grand Jury has indicted former Tybee Island Officers Travis Daniels and Timothy Sullivan on the following charges related to the investigation of the tasing of Clifford Grevemberg on May 21, 2010:

Travis Daniels:  2 Counts of False Statements (felony)

Timothy Sullivan:  2 Counts of False Statements (felony); 1 Count of False Statements in writing (felony)

The young jailer, Adam Thran who was present at the time of the tasing, but omitted from the official police report, was not charged. The supervisor of the above former officers, Javier Valdez, has reportedly left the country.
