Pet-a-Palooza is Coming!
This June, CPR will have our first Pet-a-Palooza concert event. This event is being presented by the CPR Community Council and will take place at Molly McGuire’s on Wilmington Island. Sponsorships are now being accepted. We’ll let you know soon on the exact date, but we hope you’ll join us for the fun! Tickets will be $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. If you’re a Facebook friend, you can keep up on our event page.

This year has brought us so many great pets already, but quite a few of them needed extra medical care. While several of the special needs pets have found homes, CPR is still left paying the bills. We would love to be able to take in more pets, but we need more donations coming in to make that happen. With $25, we can provide flea and heartworm preventative for one foster dog, with $50 we can spay a cat, with $75 we can neuter a dog, and with $100 we can provide full shots and veterinary exam for one canine. Feel free to use our Donate Now button or mail donations to: Coastal Pet Rescue, PO Box 30462, Savannah, GA 31410. We appreciate all the support.

Event Volunteers Needed
We are looking for more volunteers to help us with adoption days and special events. All details are posted on our volunteers message board at least two weeks in advance of the date. Here’s your chance to get involved and help us to change more lives. Learn more about being a Coastal Pet Rescue volunteer by reading our online volunteer handbook.

Pet First Aid and CPR Class
The next Pet First Aid and CPR class offered by the Savannah Red Cross chapter will be held on Saturday, April 10th from 9 am to Noon at the chapter headquarters on Chatham Parkway. Registration is $25 per person and includes textbook with DVD. Spaces are limited so register early. The course is taught by CPR president and founder Lisa Scarbrough.

Yappy Hour Ball
We’re already starting plans for the Yappy Hour Blue Jeans Ball this fall. While the date is not yet set, we are already looking for donated items and volunteers to help with the event. If you are interested, please email Wendy Owens.

No Cruise this Year
One of our most fun events we do each year is the annual Cruise for Critters. However, we have decided to postpone having the cruise this September and change it possibly to spring time next year. We know many of you look forward to this event each year, and we hope you will join us for it next time.
